It has been finally confirmed that a new Apple Event is set to take place next week after huge speculations which heightened a few hours before the official announcement when many users on Twitter noticed the new peculiar emoji for the #AppleEvent hashtag yesterday.
Apple officially sent invitation emails to the media to join the event themed "Time Flies" after announcing it on their website and social media accounts. The event is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, September 15 at 5 PM GMT at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.
What to Expect from Apple's September 15th Event
Apple's fall events have been usually been the platform for the release for their major flagship phone including the iPhone 11/Pro and the iPhone X but it's highly unlikely that a phone will be released during this year's September event. This could be due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mass production of Apple devices- Apple hasn't been the only company hit hard by the pandemic.
To further affirm this, Bloomberg's Mike Gurman who has been really accurate on Apple predictions lately put out a similar tweet.
I am told Apple won’t announce the iPhone until October. This is for the iPad and Apple Watch in all likelihood. https://t.co/pw1oVXVoaL

A refreshed iPad air and probably or new Apple Watches are more likely to be featured during the event since hopes of a new iPhone being revealed are almost (if not) fading out. We could also expect a bit more features of iOS 14 and iPad OS 14 ahead of their release.
How to watch the Apple Event
Just like this year's Apple WWDC (World Wide Developers' Conference), the fall Apple Event has been designed to take place online. This is not a surprise since it has become the new normal due to the current pandemic. The event can be streamed on the Apple TV app, Apple's website, on its YouTube channel where the event's placeholder has been already prepared and scheduled, or on DE JAY'S BLOG on the day of the event.
