Google has not been doing too well in the flagship
smartphone segment with the last two flagship Pixels not getting the sales the
company expected. This prompted Google to provide a product that can convince
people to get a Pixel and they managed to do with the Pixel 3A which was a
huge success. The main reason for that success was the price at
which you were getting a Pixel level camera along with that stock android experience.
Naturally, fans were excited for the next installment in the A series and the
rumors help with that.
Google is not best when it comes to keeping secrets as their
products always get leaked sometime before it’s launch, and the Pixel 4A is no
different. We now know the specs of this device which do not look very
impressive when compared to other android devices in 2020, but Google has
never been known for their great hardware but instead software which just as
important if not more.

The main draw of the Pixel 4A will be its cameras which have
Google’s image processing software which is the same one found on their
flagship devices. It is agreed by many that they produce the best pictures and
at this price, it is well worth it and a very good competitor to the new iPhone SE.
Google has also announced that there will be a 5G
version of the Pixel 4A which will have a bigger screen as well as a 5G capable
processor. This processor is most certainly going to be a mid-range Snapdragon
processor to help bring the price down.
“This fall, we'll have two more devices to talk about: the Pixel 4a (5G), starting at $499, and Pixel 5, both with 5G to make streaming videos, downloading content and playing games on Stadia or other platforms faster and smoother than ever. In the coming months, we'll share more about these devices and our approach to 5G.”
There also is a Pixel 5 “coming this fall” which is supposed
to be the flagship Pixel but is expected to have a slightly smaller screen when
compared to the Pixel 4A 5G. However, it is expected to have more ram, a better
display, a better front-facing camera, a secondary rear camera as well as an overall
better build quality. These are going to help Pixel 5 differentiate itself
from the Pixel 4A 5G and make it feel more premium due to the metal and glass that
will be used instead of plastic. Countries getting the 4A 5G and the 5 will be
the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan. Taiwan and Australia.
