After a crazy week of renders, leaked videos and Samsung themselves revealing the new device in an ad for today's event at the Oscars, the Galaxy Z Flip folding smartphone has been officially announced today at the Samsung Unpacked event to become the second folding phone the company has officially released.
We all know what happened to the Galaxy Fold, its predecessor but the new Galaxy Z Flip looks different -- it's basically Flip phone like the Moto Razr. The "all-glass" phone is designed to fold into a square that will fit perfectly into your pocket but once open, be a full phone with a 6.7-inch OLED and a 2636 x 1080, 425ppi display. An exciting fact about the phone is that its screen is made of glass instead of plastic. (UPDATE - 16/02/2020: New video proves otherwise)
