Samsung's unpacked event is getting closer and like every year we are expecting them to unveil some new devices. The iteration of the Galaxy S family along with their new folding device is what we are expecting to be released as per the rumors. We looked at the folding device earlier, so its time to look at what we know so far about the next Galaxy S device.
This year’s Galaxy S is going to see some pretty significant changes not only in the hardware and software department but also in the name. If we were to follow the naming pattern that Samsung has been using over the years, then we would have guessed correctly that the next device would have been called the S11 but that is not going to be the case. Instead, it is going to be called the Galaxy S20. It is rumored that Samsung is going to release three versions of the device namely the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra.
The Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus.
The display on all of the S20 devices is getting a huge bump in terms of refresh rate. Courtesy of a leak from XDA Developers, we know that the maximum refresh rate available on the devices will be up to 120hz from the 60hz available on the S10. This should provide a much smoother experience when using the device. This though will only work on FHD+ but not WQHD+(which will still work only at 60Hz) probably due to concerns about how fast that could drain the battery.
The camera of the device going to come equipped with a 12mp main sensor,64mp telephoto and a 12mp ultrawide with a ToF sensor only on the S20 Plus and S20 Ultra. The centered selfie hole-punch camera will have a 40mp lens that may support 4K 60 fps video.
The sizes of the screen are rumored to have been increased as well with the S20 having a 6.2-inch screen and the S20 Plus with a 6.7-inch screen according to Ishan Agarwal at MySmartPrice. Such a huge screen will definitely need a lot of juice, and that exactly what they are getting with a 4,100mAh and 4,500mAh battery for the S20 and S20 Plus respectively. If you were holding onto hope that the 3.5mm headphone jack would make a return, then I'm sorry to say its not from what we know so far.
The ultrasonic fingerprint reader is expected to present on all devices.
All three devices will support 5G with either the Snapdragon 865 or the Exynos 990 processors. The later will have a 4G variant of the device which will cost a little less(around $100 less).

Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Think of the ultra as an S20 plus with bigger screen, larger better and much beefier camera setup. It is reportedly going to have a 6.9-inch display accompanied with a 5000mAh battery, as well as up to 16gb of ram. The most eye-catching piece of hardware is the main camera sensor which is 108mp which main the 12mp on the other S models look very small. This with the help of software enhancements will apparently enable a combined zoom of up to 100x. It will also have 48mp telephoto lens, a 12mp ultra-wide camera and 3D ToF sensor at the rear with a 40mp front-facing camera as well.
Pricing.
