The major difference is that this time folding technology is going to be used for the implementation of this upcoming device. It is very different from what others in the industry are offering which will give it some attention when released. Leaked renders that appeared on SlashLeaks showed a device very similar to the Razr phone from the 2000s but with the keyboard and screen replaced with a foldable OLED panel.
They are calling it the Motorolla Razr 2019 or Motorazr and it is expected to be released on 13th November. The company sent out invitations to the media on 17th October for their November event. The company teased the Razr's unveiling on the invitation which reads ‘You’re going to flip’.
Specs and Price.
According to leaks from developer website XDA, the device codenamed “Voyager” is expected to come with the Snapdragon 710 processor, a 2,730mAh battery and a 6.2-inch OLED screen at a low-res 2142 * 876 with an 800 * 600 outer display. It will have two variants with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and also 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
Renders from Motorola’s patent seems to show the existence of a fingerprint scanner. These specs do not scream flagship and it seems that is what Motorolla is going for which makes sense considering it is a first-generation device. A report from the original Wall Street Journal puts the upcoming device in the $1500 range which less than the Galaxy Fold and Mate X but still more expensive when compared to the iPhone 11 Pro max and the Galaxy Note 10+.

Camera.
From the renders, the Motorazr is expected to have a single camera for both regular and selfie pictures due to the small outer screen.XDA claims that the device will function as a normal android when unfolded but will have limited functions when folded.Notifications, media controls, and Google Assistant interactions should be accessible on the smaller touch screen.
Conclusion.
Motorolla could be making a comeback with this phone. The Razr’s unique design and portability could appeal to users, but would you buy this device at it’s rumored price tag?
