..and we're so excited!
One of Fornite's major competitor, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds popularly known as PUBG is finally getting the long-awaited cross-play support for users on the PS4 and the Xbox One, enabling users on these platforms to play with or against each other in the upcoming Season 4.
This was announced during the PUBG Xbox stream at Gamerscom where the PUBG console producer Koosung Jeong added that this is to "increase the match-making pool". Nothing has been confirmed yet regarding PC users meaning that PC users will still be paired among themselves unlike Fortnite where the cross-play goes wider enough to support PC users.
The PUBG cross-platform console play will be coming to this October. And even exciting, the most expected Erangel Visual Update and Survivor Pass 4: Aftermath comes along with an enhanced visual quality which will be prominently noticed by players who play on PS4 Pro and Xbox One regardless of players with the normal PS4 (slim) and Xbox.
This update also comes along with the quality of life of upgrade in weapons and vehicles across the field. Concerning this, I think handling weapons and vehicles will even feel better. PUBG Corp plans to make the cross-platform play available for testing on the PUBG Test Servers by late September and available for all players on live servers in early October.
