Apple started this huge promo for students in the tertiary level in May 2018, which earns them a discount of half the price of Apple Music's Individual plan through a new plan they named College Student plan. According to them, if you are a student from any recognized institution in any eligible country, you qualify for this offer.
How do they prove you're a student?
Through UNiDAYS, a student validation service, they are able to verify that you're enrolled in a degree-granting university or college. From time to time, UNiDAYS re-validates your student status and if it finds out that you' are no longer a student or if you have a Student subscription for a full 48 months, your subscription automatically becomes an Apple Music Individual subscription.
How to get this offer?

- Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.

- Choose Subscriptions
- Tap on your Apple Music subscription.
- Use the options to manage your subscription.
- Finally, tap on a change to a Student subscription and verify your eligibility.
