UBER's plans to try food delivery by drones got a green light by the government. This project will start exclusively in San Diego, according to a recent interview with the company’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi. “The world needs flying burgers”, he said.
Uber introduced their UBER EATS app not long ago but it's surprisingly the worlds largest food delivery service. They are not the first to introduce this; a company named FoodPanda in Hong Kong already delivers meal by drones, Dominos also tried this in 2016 at New Zealand.
The CEO, revealed Uber’s plans during an interview with Bloomberg at the company’s flying car conference, Uber Elevate. Uber is working with agencies like NASA and the U.S. Army to build the vehicles with “pilot programs,” beginning as early as 2020.
